What's on this page.
We know of no other company in Western Australia that's been manufacturing Jarrah Outdoor Furniture longer than us.
All Jarrah Outdoor Furniture is hand made based on the following:
We do not make fancy shaped Outdoor Furniture manufactured using butt joints and dowel, more on this further down this page.
You can clearly see in the next four pictures why we can state strong and robust. As you can see all joints are bolted together, no joint can break unless the bolts breaks and there is no chance of that happening.
All chairs are designed with the perfect angle for sitting for periods of time without the need for cushions.
Table and chair legs are designed to prevent movement. Each table leg has two bolts to secure it to the table frame. The table legs are braced, together with double bolted legs stop vertical and lateral movement.
You don't need to know anything about manufacturing to see how strong King of Jarrah Outdoor Furniture is, just look at the above picture of the under-side of the Chair and make your own decision.
Each piece of timber used to construct all Jarrah Outdoor Furniture is sanded, BY HAND, on all four sides including the ends and pencil round edges, making all surfaces smooth to touch.
As you can imagine since 1982 we have seen it all, every possible method to manufacture Outdoor Furniture. Back in 1982 all manufacturers made outdoor tables, chairs and benches the same. There were of course different shapes but the method to make were basically the same eg.
Sometime round 1990 one manufacturer in Perth changed their design, they made an Outdoor Chair the same as a dining room Chair. They used a butt joint using a dowel and glue as they wanted to create a curved looking Chair similar to a Dining Chair but there were and still are major faults with this design for an Outdoor Chair.
Think about this...
When you sit on a dining room Chair you want not lean back and rock on the two back legs. The opposite applies to an Outdoor Chair some people do rock on the two back legs.
So what is the design fault...
If you rock on the two back legs on a Chair that is constructed using a butt joint and dowel it will break and basically cannot be repaired.
On the other hand if a person rocks back on a Chair made using a lap joint all that may eventually happen is a bolt or bolts may loosen and all you have to do is tighten the bolts.
You may not care...
Some people don't care they would prefer to have a curved looking Chair and don't care if it breaks in a month or two, that is fine its your money you are wasting.
Whereas King of Jarrah wants their clients to purchase a comfortable Chair that will withstand many years of use in an outdoor environment.
Since our first sale in 1982 until today we have countless numbers of satisfied purchases who have bought King of Jarrah Outdoor Furniture.
If you do not know Jarrah is only grown in a small area in the south-west of Western Australia.
97% of all King of Jarrah Outdoor Furniture is sold by wholesale to distributors in the eastern states of Australia. We basically know from one year to the next about how many settings we will sell and as we cannot wait until we receive orders due to the time it takes to manufacture we manufacture parts from the first week of February to end of June.
Between mid July to end of August every year we receive orders from our distributors in the eastern states, we pack and send. Some years we receive orders as late as end of September and if we have stock left we pack and deliver but if we do not receive these late orders we offer what we have left to anyone in Perth at the same wholesale price our distributors pay.
You maybe thinking...
How can we sell a single setting at the same price distributors pay to order large quantities.
The following is what we have left this year, we update the quantity we have below every Monday morning.
We look forward to receiving your order.
...What To Do Next...
From 1982 to 2002 we had other products we manufactured to fill in the 4 months each year when we were not manufacturing parts. From mid 2001 most of the other products were lost due to a number of reasons therefore I looked for other business opportunities. In 2003 I helped develop a security product named Padlock Protection, then over the next few years other unique security products as list below.
